About Annie Smith Peck 

Annie Smith Peck was an American Mountaineer and adventurer. She was an ardent suffragist and noted speaker encouraging travel and exploration.  Peck early developed remarkable physical strength, endurance, and courage through determined competition with her three older brothers and her numerous ascents—often record-setting —made her a remarkable figure in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
