Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: June 16, 2026
1. Overview
Wayward LLC (“Wayward,” “we,” “us,” and “our”) respects your right to control your personal data. If you have connected your Facebook or Instagram account to Wayward, or otherwise provided us with personal data, you may request that we delete the data we have collected about you at any time, as described below.
What we collect through the Facebook/Instagram integration
When you connect a Facebook or Instagram account, we collect and store the information needed to manage advertising on your behalf, including:
- Account and connection details — identifiers for your connected Meta ad account, Facebook Page, Instagram business account, and Meta Pixel, along with the access credentials that maintain your connection.
- Advertising content and settings — the campaigns, ad sets, ads, budgets, audiences, and targeting you create through Wayward, and the status of those items.
- Creative assets — images and videos you upload or that we generate for your ads, including media synced from your connected social posts and any ad content created from it.
- Performance data — metrics about how your ads perform, such as spend, clicks, and impressions.
We also process certain data on behalf of our business customers — for example, advertising and conversion data relating to their own customers. That data is governed by our agreement with the business customer rather than this page.
Anonymized and aggregated data
This policy covers the personal data we hold about you. It does not apply to data that has been anonymized or aggregated, whether before or in connection with your request, so that it no longer identifies you, including anonymized or aggregated data that we derive or generate from your personal data. As permitted under our data processing terms, deleting your personal data does not require us to delete such anonymized or aggregated data, and we may retain and continue to use it, including for product and AI development. We are not able to re-identify data that has been anonymized, aggregated, or de-identified.
2. How to Request Deletion of Your Data
To request deletion of your data, please email a request to support@wayward.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.”
To help us locate and verify your account, please include in your request:
- The email address associated with your Wayward account.
- Your name and, if applicable, the name of your business or brand.
- If your request relates to a connected Facebook or Instagram account, the name of that account or page.
Once we receive your request, we will verify it and delete the personal data we hold about you, subject to the limited exceptions described in this policy (including data we are required to retain by law, data in secured backups, and anonymized or aggregated data). We will complete your request within 30 days of verification, and you will receive a confirmation email once your request has been fulfilled. If we are required to retain certain data to comply with a legal obligation, or are otherwise unable to delete certain data, we will let you know and explain why.
Backups
Data held in our secured, routine backups may persist after your request is fulfilled and will be deleted in the ordinary course as those backups are cycled out. During that period the data remains protected in accordance with our data processing terms, and we make no further active use of it.
3. Removing Wayward’s Access on Facebook
If you connected your Facebook or Instagram account to Wayward, you can also remove Wayward’s access directly from your Facebook settings:
- Go to your Facebook account’s Settings & Privacy menu and click Settings.
- Select Apps and Websites (or Business Integrations, if you connected Wayward on behalf of a business).
- Find Wayward in the list of connected apps.
- Select it and click Remove.
Removing the app revokes Wayward’s access to your Facebook and Instagram data going forward. To have the data we have already collected deleted, please also email us a deletion request as described above.
4. Questions
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at support@wayward.com.
